In November 2002 I made a 10 days trip to Brazil to visit El Pantanal. This visit was my first visit dedicated to Photography. I just had bought the 60D Canon Digital camera and I took with me  those lenses I had used before with the non-digital Eos cameras (nothing special indeed). Both digital photography as well as Bird Photography were completely new for me. Looking back  now at many photographs I took during that trip I feel sorry that I did not do it that well, because really

El Pantanal is a fantastic place for nature lovers and specially for those who combine their interest with photography. I need to go back there as soon as I can.

Anyway I like to see those Photos because it brings back memories of the Hyacinth Macaw. One of the youngsters got my name Pieter (poor bird). I hope it is still flying around.
