Sulphur-winged Parakeet

New World parrots include Amazons, conures, caiques, parrotlets, Pionus, quaker parakeets, and macaws. New World parrots typically originate from rainforest type habitats
The New World and African parrots are most often green and range in size from the hefty Ara macaws to the diminutive Forpus parrotlets.


The family is Psittacidae.

There are 173 species placed in 37 genera.
